We have been awarded our second Green Flag which will be raised on the 13th of May during our Intergenerational Day.
We are delighted that our application was successful and are proud of our efforts to improve our school environment.
This year we focused on ENERGY as a theme. We conducted projects on topics such as Recycling, Energy awareness, Enviromental Issues and explored the possibilities of the POWER OF ONE campaign. Our project leader was Mark Molloy who continued to give us great support and advice. The motto for the school is 'ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL, CATCH THE LITTER BEFORE IT FALLS!'
We are really excited and looking forward to our day of celebration.
Intergenerational Day
Our Inetergenerational Day will be held on the 13th of May. For those who have not yet heard of Our Intergeerational Day, here is what happens. At first we greet some of the pupils, grandparents, parents and neighbours. We also invite people to do workshops where pupils can experience what their grandparents and parents did when they were younger. This includes; Sewing, Cross Sticthing, Art, Dancing and so much more. Then, our visitors have tea and a light lunch. Shortly afterwards, the pupils from each class will preform a concert. Afterwards, we will have the Green Flag Raising, for the green flag we have renewed this year.
